Toasted flour is flour that has been cooked for a short amount of time to toast it. It adds a much more earthy and browned flavour to the flour which can give depth to many recipes. Whilst doing this it also kills the bad micro-organisms that can be harmful when you eat raw flour. I used this flour for cookie dough since you won’t have to worry about getting ill from it!
toasted flour recipe
- any flour
- Place the flour evenly on a baking tray into the oven at 200 C fan on for 10 minutes
- Keep in oven for 10 minutes or until its browned.
- Place flour evenly on a skillet for a few minutes and keep whisking until all of it is browned.
