Pineapple Tart has a tropical taste and it’s a really great dessert to have in the summer! Adding passion fruit on the side makes it better! If you want a less summery flavour then you can try out our peach tarts which have a more refreshing flavour!
You can use pretty much any pie pastry for this dessert- though we have our own which you might want to use! A recommendation for this recipe is to add some custard or perhaps some ice cream if it’s summer!
I recommend draining at least half or 3/4 of the liquid from the canned pineapples so that it’s not too liquidy and helps set.

Pineapple Tart
Ingredients
- 100 grams pie pastry
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 can pineapple slices
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175 C fan on.
- Roll out the pastry to fill the tart dishes.
- Drain the liquid from the pineapple can then add the pineapples into a mixing bowl then crush them- add the sugar, cornstarch and salt. Mix until it's a thick liquid. Add the mixture into the pie dishes then place in oven for 30 minutes.
